I have always wanted to participate in an architectural festival. And this year there was a great opportunity: Astrakhan region became a guest of ArchMoscow 2020, and the administration announced the competition of ideas for the pavilion.
I sent my concept and they chose my idea. The concept reflects one of the most cited and recognizable ideas of the architectural space structure of this region. It is a kind of closed yard with an entrance gate and a semiopen space. It creates privacy while maintaining visual and user comfort.
The interweaving of unique examples of the architectural heritage of the Astrakhan region has found expression in the visual image of the pavilion in the form of a repetition of the proportions and lines of the most traditional architectural elements of the city’s iconic buildings (Kremlin, trading houses and courtyards)

The entire structure was originally supposed to be made of hanging banners, and the exposition would be printed on them. In the process of project detalizing, it was decided to make wall-partitions installed on the floor. The result is below.

Unfortunately, realization was not totaly correct but still kept the main idea.
